Hundreds will walk to create a world free of multiple sclerosis at Walk MS: San Antonio on March 12

Walk MS: San Antonio is where friends, loved ones and co-workers team up to change the world for everyone affected by MS. Participants can choose from a one-mile or five-mile fully accessible route. 

SAN ANTONIO, TX, Feb. 11, 2016 — Hundreds of San Antonio-area residents are expected to raise more than $350,000 to stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever at Walk MS: San Antonio, presented by University Health System, taking place on Saturday, March 12 at Texas A&M University – San Antonio. New Commerce Department Data Shows that Minority Entrepreneurship is Growing

From 2007 to 2012, the percentage of minority-owned firms increased from 22 percent to 29 percent of the total number of U.S. firms. Hispanic-owned firms increased by 46.3 percent from 2.4 million to 3.3 million.

Access to in-state grants for Texas immigrant youth secured as suit dismissed

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Late last week, in a resounding victory for Texas students, anti-immigrant advocates dropped a lawsuit that sought to deny state college aid to undocumented youth. In Immigration Reform Coalition of Texas (IRCOT) v. Texas, IRCOT asked the court to strip immigrant students of their right to access in-state tuition and grants, despite a Texas law (HB 1403) that provided for educational access to all Texas students, regardless of immigration status.

Jewish singles in Houston, Austin and other cities will be mixing and mingling at the 29th Annual Matzoball

Starting at a local bar at Boston University, where creator Andy Rudnick was bartending, the party was created to give Jewish singles, who usually don’t have a place to go on Christmas Eve, a place to party. Today, the Matzoball was grown from a local college town bar, to a nationwide event, connecting 50,000 young Jewish singles together since its inception. 

November 30, 2015.- On December 24th, Jewish singles will converge in cities across the U.S. for annual Matzoball parties, which USA TODAY has dubbed “The Number 1 Holiday Party of the Year.” While much of the world is observing Christmas Eve, hip Jewish singles in urban communities will be mixing and mingling at the 29th Annual Matzoball – a bunch of high end social events coordinated by The Society of Young Jewish Professionals.
